The Bangladesh Public Service Commission is a constitutional body empowered to select suitable and qualified persons for appointment to the service of the Republic. The organization, like its counterparts in various countries, is playing an important national role in improving the human resource planning of the republic as well as ensuring impartiality in public administration.Through a nationwide competitive examination, the Labor Commission selects individuals who are eligible for employment in the Republic.

Matters relating to the constitutional obligation to select government officials and employees, as well as the qualifications for the work of the Commission Republic and the procedure for its appointment; Principles to be followed regarding recruitment in the service of the Republic,

promotion and transfer from one branch of the said job to another branch and determination of suitability of candidates for similar appointment, promotion or transfer; Such matters as affecting the working conditions of the Republic, including the right to retirement benefits; And advises the President (where applicable) on disciplinary matters relating to the actions of the Republic.
